John Deere 8270R Tractor - A Review of the Popular Vehicle

John Deere 8270R Tractor - A Review of the Popular Vehicle

John Deere is perhaps a well-known brand name for high quality, heavy-duty tractors built by an effective, lightweight Cummins. John Deere model tractor engines, or John Deere /Cummins diesel engine family of tractors has been around since early 1924. The first model tractor was powered by this engine, which was later used on the very popular family-tractor series of John Deere tractors. This small engine has been used on all the various John Deere model tractors since then, including the new line of John Deere 8270R Tractor Review.

The John Deere 8270R Tractor Review highlights the advantages of this powerful small diesel engine over the older John Deere 8 inch diesel engine. For starters, the new engine is almost double the horsepower of the older model. And the new sixteen-speed transmissions help it move more freely over uneven ground, making this a far better overall tractor option.

One of the best features of the John Deere 8270R Tractor is that it has a three-stage fuel pump that delivers strong power from low RPM. It also has wet-sleeve cylinder liners to minimize noise and keep the engine cool, which in turn helps the machine last much longer. All of John Deere's small diesel engines have an aluminum flywheel and they are mated to a magnesium crankshaft for extra strength and longevity. In addition, the flywheel is made from high alloy steel for optimum performance. The front suspension uses coil springs to give it a smooth ride and they can be replaced with a four-link extension or by hand with a hydraulic control device.

The John Deere 8270R has a heavy duty automatic transmission with four speeds and an automatic off option. It also has full Billet Dover siding and Treadlift panels, as well as front and rear bumpers with recessed channels for maximum side impact protection. The front and rear axles are fitted with a dual hydrostatic lift system for extra handling capabilities. Handling is enhanced with John Deere Tractor shields that protect the radiator and other vulnerable parts at the front and rear of the tractor.

There is some John Deere information on the net about a new John Deere powertech ProM FWD Tractor that is being marketed now. But it seems that the model is already available. The John Deere 8270R is supposed to have an automatic transmission similar to the one used in the John Deere Grand Wagons. There is also mention of a link independent suspension on the front axle and the tractor has a gas powered starter for all of its start-ups and drive-time operations.

There is John Deere information on the net about this tractor. It has just been released in Australia and will be coming in for a mid-life update. John Deere Australia has put out some information on the John Deere 8270R Tractor. It describes the in-line air induction powertrain and the wet-sleeve cylinder liners as being the best design for boosting low idle speed, maximum performance from even moderate sized induction units and extending the life of your engine. In the past, many in-line design developments have been too noisy for certain applications but this new design reduces sound pollution while increasing horsepower, torque and reliability. They also claim that the in-line induction powertrain eliminates engine vibration, increases gas mileage, and improves emissions.
